GETTING STARTED WITH THERAPY

Contact me via phone or email for a free 15-minute phone consultation. This will allow us to talk and determine if I’m a good fit for your needs. If so, we’ll schedule an appointment to meet for an office or video session.

Registration:

Once we schedule your first therapy appointment, you will receive an email from me providing access to my easy, secure online registration process. This enables you to fill out paperwork electronically at your convenience, prior to the appointment.

Online video sessions:

Video sessions are a safe and convenient way to engage in therapy using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. When you schedule a video session with me, you will receive a link to your appointment via email — through my secure, HIPAA-compliant technology platform. Simply click on the link at your scheduled appointment time to begin your session. It’s that easy! Here are some tips for a great tele-therapy experience:

  • A good strong wifi signal is recommended.
  • Close other programs/apps so they are not running during your session.
  • Chrome internet browser tends to work best.
  • Find a quiet, private place to talk.
  • Use of headphones or earbuds is encouraged.

My office:

My therapy office is conveniently located in the heart of Nassau County, easily accessible from the Meadowbrook and Northern State Parkways. It is near Roosevelt Field and across the street from the Country Glen Center. You will find ample non-permit parking on the west side of the building as well as in the adjacent lot (Vitamin World & Citibank).

THERAPY FEES

45-Minute Individual Therapy Session: $160.00

Payment information:

Fees are due in full at time of service. Payment is accepted via cash, check, or credit/debit card (including Health Savings Account/Flexible Spending Account).

Insurance Information:

Please note: While I do not accept insurance for payment, many people who work with me choose to use their health insurance “out-of-network” benefits to help cover the costs of therapy. This is when an insurance carrier reimburses a portion of the payments for my services. If you are interested in finding out more, please call your health insurance provider to verify if you are entitled to out-of-network benefits. Important questions to ask your health insurance provider:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services provided by licensed counselors?
  • Do my out-of-network benefits cover tele-therapy?
  • Is there a deductible that needs to be met before I can start getting reimbursed?
  • What percentage of my payment will be reimbursed?
  • How do I submit out-of-network benefits claims?

I am happy to provide you with a receipt for my services, which you can then submit to your health insurance company.
